Alison WINS 2023 AWMA "Humanitarian" Award
Alison has been announced as the WINNER of the
Humanitarian Award at the 2023 Australian Women In Music Awards.
The 2023 AWMA's were broadcast across Australia on ABC Television,
and ABC iview.
In her acceptance speech Alison highlighted the importance of music for young people
in Remote and Regional areas - especially as a conduit to expand their horizons
and make a positive difference in the world.

Alison announced as 2023 AWMA Finalist!!
Alison has been announced as a Finalist for the
Humanitarian Award at the 2023 Australian Women In Music Awards.
The AWMA’s highlight the central and outstanding role women play in the
Australian Music Industry & have quickly become the Industry’s premier such recognition.
Alison was also an AWMA Humanitarian Award Finalist in 2019 –
Nominated then, as now, for her incredible work in the fields of
music philanthropy, music education, and especially taking music
to young people in Remote and Regional areas.
In 2019 the Award was won by Australian Pop Superstar Dami Im,
with the legendary Lindy Morrison OAM the other Finalist.
2023 sees Gemma Farrell & Andrea Smith as the
other simply amazing AWMA Humanitarian Award Finalists.
“I’m humbled and amazed at this recognition. The initiatives of AWMA are something I
endorse so strongly – and it’s such an honour to be in Brisbane again in September to
help represent and respect the amazing women in and out of these Awards who
make our industry so powerful” said Alison.
Alison will be walking the Black Carpet with other 2023 AWMA Finalists
and performers including Kate Ceberano, Beccy Cole, Jessica Mauboy
and Vika & Linda at Brisbane’s Tivoli Theatre on Wednesday 27th September.
The 2023 AWMA Awards will be broadcast Nationally
on ABC Television at a later date TBA!

2021 SA WOMENS HONOUR ROLL Induction:
Wednesday 17th November saw Alison Inducted "In-Perpetuity" onto the
South Australian Honour Roll by the Governor Of South Australia
The Honourable Frances Adamson OBE at Government house in Adelaide.
The SA Womens Honour Roll recognise SA women who've made an enduring and
outstanding contribution to their State, and to bettering and reinforcing the profile of women.
2021 SA MUSIC AWARD WIN:
Thursday 18th November saw Alison WIN the
South Australian Music Award for Best Music Educator at the
SAMA's annual Awards ceremony held this year at Old Adelaide Gaol.
The SAMA's are the State equivalent of the ARIA awards and
represent the most elite recognition available in the SA Music Industry.
2020 WHYALLA BUSHFIRE APPEAL
The Whyalla Bushfire Appeal (WBA) at Westland Shopping Centre featured live music,
radio broadcasts, raffles and a Giant Pre-Loved Book Sale - raising over $10,000
for communities and ecologies affected by Australia's devastating 2019/20 Bushfires.

Adelaide's Elder Park as South Australia celebrated Christmas at "Carols By Candlelight".

McHappy Day entertainment programme in support of Ronald McDonald House.

Since 2007 Mark Tempany & Alison Hams have run Whyalla's annual "Jamm 4 Genes" concert
raising money and awareness for the Childrens Medical Research Institute in Sydney.
From the Whyalla Show, to Westland Shopping Centre, to D'Faces,
to St James Hall and of-late Online it continues to be an amazing ride!

Since 2006 Mark Tempany & Alison Hams have acted as Stageshow Coordinators of
Regional SA's biggest free public concert event - "Carols In The Park".
Annually attracting over 5000 people to Whyalla's Civic Park,
"Carols" is where Whyalla celebrates "Christmas as a Community".
